HISTORY

The story of Chevignon begins with a jacket. A “flight” worn by American air pilots during the 1950s. Attractive, comfortable, robust. Just like another jacket with the name of a Frenchman: Charles Chevignon... Its designer, Guy Azoulay, found inspiration in the American Dream, creating a style and influences mainly from the USA. The second-hand clothes fan collected iconic pieces from the US army before reinventing them to produce his first collection. This reinterpretation of pieces gradually acquired from places around the world went on to become his trademark. And the Chevignon phenomenon began. An urban, elegant and adventurous wardrobe. Timeless. Combining elegance with insouciance. Sparkling with sobriety.

1979

The CHEVIGNON brand is founded in Paris

1984

The famous TOG’s UNLIMITED label and its mallard were created to represent the great outdoors and outdoor sports. This standout embroidered image of the migratory bird then became the emblem for the brand.

1984

1991

The brand exports its approach to New York and Tokyo. Expansion to more than 20 countries.

2007

The Paris flagship store opens on Rue Faubourg Saint-Antoine.

Chevignon and the French Artistic Director Milan Vukmirović team up and launch two Heritage collections.

2010

The collaboration between Chevignon and Jacques Shu gives rise to an iconic TOG’S down jacket revisited in the form of 5 bold and cosmopolitan themes.

2015

Chevignon and Helston combine their talents and know-how to produce a collection of driving-approved jackets, parkas and gloves that combine aesthetics, technicality and comfort.

2018

Chevignon works with the German contemporary magazine 032c on the launch of its very first ready-to-wear collection.

Chevignon joins forces with the very select Milanese boutique Antonia, founded by Antonia Giacinti in 1999 on an exclusive item that revisits the iconic TOG’S down jacket.

2019

Chevignon is 40 years old and is celebrating this new decade with Les Galeries Lafayette by developing a down jacket that tells the story of the brand’s know-how: an authentic re-take on the TOG’S down jacket, whose transparent back reveals the feathers inside.
